MS. Charity Mireles

Ms. Charity MirelessBorn and raised in Edinburg, Texas, Ms. Mireles’ life was anything but valley-traditional. She grew up on a ranch and began and finished her education being home-schooled. Ms. Mireles did not attend public school until she applied for and was accepted into college. During her junior year at the University of Texas Pan American, she changed her major from Pre-Med to Pre-Law and went on to graduate with Honors and received her Bachelor's of Science in Criminal Justice with a minor in English.

During her junior year, Ms. Mireles became increasingly interested in the law. After her decision to attend Texas Tech University School of Law was made, she decided “it was Lubbock or bust” and she has enjoyed every minute of the city while pursuing her law school career. She has remained active in the local community and sought the opportunity to work with Covenant Health Systems as an extern for Corporate Counsel. During the summer of 2007, Ms. Mireles served as a law clerk for Justice Linda Yanez at the 13th Court of Appeals. She describes her experience there as phenomenal.

At the close of each completed semester of law school, Ms. Mireles becomes increasingly confident that she has chosen the best path for her professional career. Although her physical proximity to the valley has decreased, she has continued to be faithful in her commitment to community outreach and volunteering in non-profit organizations that have a positive impact on the community in the valley. Ms. Mireles intends to mold her legal career as a passionate and committed lawyer who will be effective, efficient, and competent counsel to each client and legal employers for whom she offers her services.
